This was largely a driving day, so that we could see the southern and SW coastlines. We first drove along the Lizzard peninsula, stopping briefly at Coverton. Next was Lizzard Point, the most southerly part of the country. From there we went to Lands End, the furthest point in the SW, and walked a bit along the coastline, which was quite pretty. We then drove north as far as St. Ives, a bustling town right on the water at the northern part of the peninsula. This was listed as being one of the top ten scenic routes in the country. It was nice, but as much of the drive was on single track or very narrow roads, the driving was stressful for Michael, so he didn't see much of the scenery.
Today was the first cool and somewhat overcast day we've had, but still no rain. We'll have been gone two weeks as of tomorrow, which means that our trip is half over.
